good things from the first two days of holiday
1) The latest Subnormality strip. I often wonder what sort of mental picture of me would be formed just from looking at my bookshelves; and as this points out, even that picture would be woefully incomplete.
2) Today I made my first ever batch of SNICKERDOODLES. Fun to say, fun to eat! I took a bunch of them to the hairdresser when I accompanied my sister as she had her hair styled for her graduation dinner (did I mention that my baby sister has just graduated from high school? aaauuuughghhghh) and had to explain what they were, ie. 'American'. I am feeling very snickerdoodled indeed right now. I probably need some more people to hand them out to, before I end up eating them all.
3) I am rewatching S1 of The Good Wife in joyous anticipation of being given S2 for my birthday next Monday. MORE HOT LAWYERS WITH PERFECT HAIR AND HIGH HEELS PLEASE. Also more Eli Gold.
4) I am rereading aaaall of the Tiffany Aching books, and remembering how much I love Pratchett's formulation of what a witch is and how they think.
5) Tonight my brother and I accidentally watched an episode of Green Wing. We almost fell off the couch laughing.
6) YULETIDE. So far I have 600 words and a great many as-yet-incoherent ideas, but I'm feeling optimistic. I feel as though this icon, while not glamorous, nevertheless encapsulates my ideal Yuletide experience. Plus, Penny <3
