With all the NaNo and Yuletide going on, it's making me feel very lazy about not writing. *sigh*

Btw, have you had a chance to play around with the make-up? I'm hoping that at least half will suit your colouring.

You could pinch-hit for Yuletide? You'd only have to write if something in particular struck your fancy.

I've played with a few of the lipsticks so far, and opened and sighed over the eyeshadows (the Estee Lauder purples look SO GOOD). I think the Coco Shine in Monte Carlo is my new favourite lipstick; I love the sheerness of it, and the balance of pink and red. I also love Mademoiselle and Romance; the darker shades will have to wait until the holidays, when I'm not putting on a work-appropriate face every day.

There's always Yuletide Madness, too, which happens on December 24th (well, for us, it basically happens on the evening of the 24th and for a fair part of Christmas morning) -- they throw all the prompts up for everyone to read, and anyone can write last-minute treats of any length (ie. not having to adhere to the 1000-word minimum) for any recipient! You can participate in that even if you're not signed up for the challenge proper.

Oooor if you want to be sneaky you could stalk this spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjOXjZrXlRmgdGtpbE1zRmNfZWRHeEptRGVOaEdxWXc#gid=0) and look at people's Dear Yulegoat letters in advance, and start writing fic for any request that takes your fancy, then upload it DURING Yuletide Madness. Not that I'm doing that right now or anything.

Lipsticks are my crack. I'm glad you like Monte Carlo; it's a great colour, but I found that with my naturally dark lips, I needed colours more vibrant and opaque.
