TEN DAYS OFF
And ohhhh do I ever need them. I just got a loud and enthusiastic phone call from the third-years, who are out pubcrawling tonight, asking me to come and join them. I didn't have the heart to tell them that I am already in my pyjamas. (I would be NO fun on a pub crawl at the moment, I would have one glass and then fall mumblingly asleep with my hair in a puddle of cider.)
Ten days. So much study to do. So many books to read. So much time to be spent reading Texts From Xavier Academy and snorting tea out my nose. (This one is the best to date, mostly for how much SMUG James McAvoy can fit onto his face.)
~
I wish I could get a message to the person who bookmarked my Raven fic with this addendum on delicious:
LOOKING AT THE TAGGED PAIRINGS, I MIGHT HAVE OVER-EXAGGERATED THE RAVEN/CHARLES IN MY HEAD, BUT I READ THE FIC AS A THREE-WAY TRIANGULATION :(
The message would be, DON'T WORRY, IT'S NOT IN YOUR HEAD. I too ship Raven/Charles in a huge, confused, fervent way! I am just coming to terms with the best way to write them.
The fic I'm writing now is currently suffering from a) my almost ludicrous accumulated sleep debt, which leaves me staring blankly at walls during those hours of the day during which I am neither at hospital nor eating nor in bed, and b) a total lack of both structure and emotional direction. It's because I'm trying to write a situation, rather than a journey, which was a really stupid idea. When I'm feeling more human I'm going to rehaul the whole concept.
