I was completely right about my abs. Before today I was aware, you know, in a vague sense, that I have a Core. Today, I am extremely aware that I have a Core. It's the part that's aching.

Plan for today:

- write ortho report FINALLY
- read some of the paediatrics textbook in the name of not sounding stupid at clinic tomorrow
- finish short story

If I get it all done I might reward myself with...well, I was going to say 'more Chuck' but the thing is I've reached 3x14 ('Chuck vs the Honeymooners') and I need to pause and let that episode sink in for a while, because I have a feeling it'll need to be a save point. You know, where everything is just SO AWESOME that you worry about the future, because surely the only way things can go from here is down? So you save the characters at that point in your mind, and tell yourself that when everything falls apart you can just pretend that the series ended at your save point, and everyone was happy and nothing was shit?

I did this for Grey's Anatomy. It worked very well. Any time anyone tries to tell me about stuff that is happening in the current seasons, I ignore them, because everyone knows that the show ended with Alex and Izzie's wedding.

Personally I feel that Grey's ended at the season two finale. The wedding was a good dream, though! Like how Buffy ended at OMWF and BSG at Final Cut and The Office at The Job. The good dreams afterwards are just bonus.

I agree that a lot of crap had to be waded through before the wedding episode, and that S2 would have also been an excellent save point.

GOD, BSG. Sometimes I think about rewatching it very very selectively, so that I can remember the good parts and try to overwrite my memory of the rest.

I am one of the misguided few who still watches Grey's Anatomy and even enjoys it, but I am totally okay with Alex and Izzie's wedding being the finale.

Yeah, I still watch it too because occasionally there is a really great episode amidst all the mediocrity, but I completely agree that Alex & Izzie's wedding was really the last high point of the show for me.

everyone knows that the show ended with Alex and Izzie's wedding.

TRUTH.

That is why I only own seasons 1, 2 & 5 on dvd. Because no other season exists!

I had those EXACT THOUGHTS when I reached that point in Chuck... I was so worried x___x

You mean like how Wire in the Blood ended after Hermione Norris went off to do Spooks?

EXACTLY. I tried to watch an episode with Alex in it and had to give up.

Simone Lahbib is lovely. I have nothing against her. Under any other circumstances, Alex (Fielding) would be exactly what the doctor ordered... and, yeah, I do not acknowledge those episodes a bit. (Except for when I'm outlining mental vids which are at least partly about "no, let me show you WHY writing Carol out was a bad plan.")
