PSA: book blogging
Quite a long time ago I created a very basic blog with the intent of one day making all sorts of entertaining and insightful posts about my medical training.
It took me much longer than it should have to realise that the reason it was going nowhere was because the last thing I want to do when I've come home and done some study is THINK MORE ABOUT MEDICINE.
So! I'm going to give book blogging a try, because I read a hell of a lot and hardly ever take the time to express my thoughts about the books. Plus I have a feeling that taking a more reflective and thoughtful approach to both reading and reviewing won't exactly do my own writing any harm, especially since my creative urges have been tending more and more towards my original fiction ideas.
The blog is here -- Tightrope Waltzing -- and I've kicked things off with an embarrassingly gushy review of True History of the Kelly Gang. I'll probably link to any posts I make, so don't feel any obligation to follow it officially if you don't want to. I'm not doing this for ad money or comments or forming a cabal of followers, I'm doing it for my own sake :)
Oh, and I'm going by 'Faye' over there, just for the sake of a smidgen of separation from my fannish identity while maintaining IDENTICAL PRONUNCIATION for your convenience.
