they also weren't magic

Good morning, LJ! I have a morning off and a cup of coffee in my hand, so my good mood is pretty unbreakable right now despite the fact that I need to spend my morning off doing things like hand-washing laundry and writing up reports and definitely NOT rewatching all of Miranda on YouTube.

My family had the world's most anticlimactic mushroom poisoning experience last night. Dear Australians: if your spag bol starts to smell like kerosene and tastes seriously weird, consider the possibility that the large edible field mushroom you put in it was in fact an almost identical Yellow-Staining Mushroom.

There was only one mushroom, and we stopped eating halfway down our bowls in protest at the taste, so absolutely nothing happened. But I did get to call the Poisons Information Centre, which I have always secretly wanted to do. I think the woman on the other end of the phone was mildly baffled at how chirpy I sounded when asking how long we could expect to be vomiting for.

...*cracks up* Frar, you're such a doctor. <3

Am glad you're okay, though!

Delectable tea ... or deadly poison?

I like to think Iroh would have been proud of our intrepid culinary spirit...

Zuko, however, is judging you.
