pogrebin has cool friends, they managed to outgeek me BUT there was pizza (excellent) and wine (EXCELLENT) and it's really quite remarkably nice to be able to talk about one's long-standing participation in online fandom and know that the people around you won't give a shit, because half of them are designing maps for RPG and the other half are playing the BSG boardgame.

I wish I had a geek cabal in Australia. But in the meantime, I have something to do with the rest of my Thursday nights in London :)

I really love the idea of a weekly meeting with takeaway, with everyone taking it in turns to host, and people showing up whenever they're free, and purely geeky activities the whole time.

If I come back to Sydney, WE SHOULD DO IT. (Living in London has made me hugely nostalgic for big cities, man.)
