Dear Past Fahye:

Why couldn't you have planned a Yuletide fic that could be easily completed in 2000 words? WHY?

No love,

Present Fahye, Stuck Writing Some Kind Of Ridiculous Epic As Usual

I have such sympathy and an idea! Let's stop working on our ludicrously long drafts and instead build a TIME MACHINE and go back in time and make past!Emmy and past!Fahye see sense.

Until that happens, I will be here drinking champagne and rewatching canon.

Awesome! Yes! We have 21 hours to build it!

...or we could take our ludicriously long drafts and just sit IN the time machine for another week, with gin and champagne a-plenty, and emerge smug and victorious.

I was so proud of myself for keeping mine just under 5,000 words this year.

. . . . this is only sort of something to be proud of.

Be proud of yourself for writing 5,000 words of fic, maybe? /drive-by comment

Well, there will be one very happy Yuletide recipient with a ridiculous epic they will love to pieces. Is that even remotely helpful? (Probably not.)
