Ow, ow, ow, hep B booster. I'd forgotten that it's one of the painful ones :(

Plus the GP DIDN'T SWAB MY ARM, and I was distracted by thinking about dinner and I didn't realise until the needle was in. Grrr. The likelihood that I will develop sepsis is low, but still! We all know how I feel about failure to swab. She was really great in every other respect, and used overshooting techniques (also known as Symptom Exaggeration) to wheedle my alcohol intake out of me, and bulk-billed <3

Now to go and cook dinner and think about how it's November so WRITING MUST OCCUR.

Much as it goes against my ID loving little heart to say this, but skin preparation prior to SC or IM injection isn't recommended. I was really annoyed to be told not to do it

YUSUF DOES NOT APPROVE.

What's overshooting? And why would one do it?

Overshooting is when you deliberately (casually) overguess someone's habits, like "So how many beers would you have on a typical night? Fifteen?" so that then they go "Oh! No, only a dozen." If you ask someone flat-out how many drinks, they have a dramatic tendency to understate.
