RASH ANNOUNCEMENT

Starting tomorrow I will be attempting to write 30,000 words of anything over the month of November. Not 50,000 because the point will be to polish off a few WIPS, not to allow verbosity to triumph over quality (which sounds like awesome fun in its own way, but -- not this year) and 1000/day sounds neat, if optimistic.

Who else is embarking on an unwise and exciting writing project of one sort or another?

I have a novel I've been restlessly writing scraps of for two years - I have the "I know what happens in this book but I want to do it right" problem - and I've been thinking of using November as a way to get the damn thing tapped out. I joined NaNo twice before and each time only came up with about 15000 words, but each time, they were a pretty darn good 15000 words. So as before, I mean to set my goal higher, but at the end of the day - whatever I write will be there and won't have been there before!

- Inception one first and foremost
- an old HP one that I want to have done by the 19th when the next movie comes out
- the Good Omens prequel I've been writing for-sodding-ever
- a couple more chapters of the Merlin AU that everyone has given up on by now, oops
- a hmspraiseworthy AU fic for Ji
- if that all gets done (ha), there are two new eyai stories I'm itching to start

I have, uh, SIX assignments due in November, although one of them is a rough draft. So, five. With my track record, those are all that's going to get done, but one of my housemates is doing real NaNoWriMo, so perhaps I can use both of you for ~inspiration~.
