this provincial life
There's a spider on our living room ceiling, I'm still not sure how I feel about living in a place with only two Thai restaurants, and despite a heroic effort by the IT guy* my Mac still hates the internet. HOWEVER: I think I made the right decision coming here for 4th year. The support staff are all fantastically helpful, the doctors all seem thrilled to see us and enthusiastic about teaching, and they keep throwing free food at us, which is never something to complain about.
It's only 7:30pm and I am seriously considering staying in bed with a book. I've gone all warm and fuzzy with the combination of welcome-to-Orange drinks and the glorious, glorious central heating in our house.
*Oh man, he tried SO HARD, he called his supervisor, he shamefacedly admitted to not knowing much about Macs but he's buying one soon! so he can get to know them!!, and we bonded as soon as he saw my Inception-themed desktop background. He's going to email me once he works out what's wrong.
