all in all this post could have been a lot less coherent, so go me

Oh my god I have the AFTERNOON OFF. Whichever gods were watching with amusement and probably a healthy dose of schadenfreude as I plunged, sleep-deprived as usual from surgical rounds, headfirst into a weekend of CHOIR CAMP (in all its Mozart-belting, alcohol-drinking, two-hour-musical-theatre-singalonging, utter-lack-of-sleeping glory) --

-- they have smiled. It's 1:30pm. I have nowhere pressing to be until dinner at 6:30 and tutoring at 8. I have FIVE HOURS and at least two of them will involve sleep. (And two for frantically catching up with online lectures. And one for -- who knows! Maybe I will WRITE! Maybe I will go to the medical society book sale and stroke psychiatry textbooks longingly.)

So how was your weekend? In the immortal words of Dylan Moran: MINE WAS FANTASTIC. I CAN'T SEE CAN BARELY SPEAK.

fuck you and your semiquavers, Herr Mozart

sleep time now

(OH DEAR ALL THAT & TUTORING? HOW DO YOU FOLLOW SUPERMAN'S SCHEDULE?
i'm just saying. if i had all that, i would be a gibbering mess by tutoring, & probably substituting whatever you are tutoring with daises and birds and robots and ending in a semi-lucid rant.)

But, um. I salute you, you brave solider.

I would gladly swap the ability to move faster than the speed of light for the ability to function well on less than six hours of sleep per night.
