WHOA!
Bowling for Columbine BEST MOVIE EVER!
Love Venturer leaders.
Love Michael Moore.
Love Marilyn Manson.
Hate Charlton Keston. Grr.
Am quite amused by silly Americans and their sense of importance. Not all Americans, obviously, just the wacko gun-happy ones.
Felt very knowledgeable and stuff after reading tink and mel's psych notes on the subject, so went around telling basically everyone about how they were mocked and excluded by jocks and how the american sporting high school culture was destructive and no-one thought about the motives. And everyone said "wow", and Freya was considered an Authority. Heh.
The movie got something wrong though - the Y2K scare, and how it was all "fake". I was going to quote Terry Prachett on this, because he is the Authority in my world and he and some other people wrote some great books on science and covered this, but I can't find the book. Blah. Basically, everyone got excited about Y2K and spent millions of dollars on precautions and then were DISAPPOINTED when nothing happened. Oh what a waste of money. For Christ's sake, the REASON nothing happened was BECAUSE of the precautions.
...really should sleep. Really. Oh yes - meeting
tairamika for the first time tomorrow ^_^
