lists are so low-effort

1) I have finally been inside an operating theatre! Wearing scrubs! Standing with my hands tightly clasped while someone's skull was opened and surgeons poked around inside their brain. IT WAS AMAZING.

2) I have (also finally) put a cannula in a real person, as opposed to a rubber blood arm. Granted, the real person was another medical student (we were bored) and there's a bruise on my hand from her initial attempt at reciprocation, but it's nice to be able to say 'yes' when patients ask 'have you done this before?'

3) highlyeccentric dropped off a parcel for me, because she is amazing :) Chocolate cupcakes and Avon lipstick! Just what a girl feels like after a long day.

4) ryokophoenix and I have started Being Human, and so far we love everything about it <3

These posts are my favourite! I'm super jealous, though. All I've been doing is stabbing/being stabbed with needles. It's just the other MAs for right now, but still. I long to see a surgery. Once I finish my physical next week I will be eligible to go out and to my internship and then get a real job. That is still scary to me. I do look forward to hearing more about your adventures!
