lists are so low-effort

1) I have finally been inside an operating theatre! Wearing scrubs! Standing with my hands tightly clasped while someone's skull was opened and surgeons poked around inside their brain. IT WAS AMAZING.

2) I have (also finally) put a cannula in a real person, as opposed to a rubber blood arm. Granted, the real person was another medical student (we were bored) and there's a bruise on my hand from her initial attempt at reciprocation, but it's nice to be able to say 'yes' when patients ask 'have you done this before?'

3) [livejournal.com profile] highlyeccentric dropped off a parcel for me, because she is amazing :) Chocolate cupcakes and Avon lipstick! Just what a girl feels like after a long day.

4) [livejournal.com profile] ryokophoenix and I have started Being Human, and so far we love everything about it <3

Every time I watch Code Blue, I think of you :3 (J-drama about a bunch of newbie doctors in the emergency ward).

Man, I love newbie-doctor dramas :) I imagine Japanese newbie-doctors are twice as overachieving and neurotic as Australian ones, too.

Oh TOTALLY! That's the funny bit...all that melodrama? It's SO real XD
I like it because of all the medical jargon that gets thrown around, it's super interesting :3 Doesn't hurt that the lead is a favorite of mine XD
