snowpocalypse? ha

Holy shit it's a MONSOON.

Went out for Chinese New Year (wore an obnoxiously red dress; ate jellyfish; was partially deafened by drummers; a giant lion tried to eat my hat) and on the way home the rain was simply insane. I managed to saturate a dress (and my hair, and myself) and ruin, I'm talking decimate, I'm talking totally demolish my black suede Pierre Fontaine heels. By the time we got back to College they weren't so much shoes as miniature buckets strapped to my feet.

(Here in the antipodes we reject your silly northern weather-patterns-of-insanity, and substitute our own!)

It's 11:30pm on a Friday night and I'm seriously contemplating making coffee and seeing how much homework I can get done before my brain fizzes out, that is how long my to-do list is and how much I want to be able to justify sleeping past 7am tomorrow.

When we left we took one look at the downpour and flooded streets and decided instead of trying to make our respective ways home we'd hide out in the nearest bar and enjoy a couple of bottles of wine. Am now on the bus home and safely dry phew.

Hope those heels dry out :/ thank you for coming, was a great night out!

That downpour was insane. I don't know how that much water can hang suspended in the sky in any form.

Much better than western new years celebrations though.

When you see water pouring out of light fixtures in the ceiling you /know/ it's a bad downpour.

But yes, CNY > western new year celebrations <3
