1) The first day of my first clinical attachment went really well! Neuro has heaps of outpatient clinics, and the registrars are nice, and there are a couple of mandatory neurosurgery things to get ticked off. If I can keep up with the insane amounts of reading and online lectures and assignments, I think this year will be great.

2) Tomorrow is Australia Day, a fact which is failing to stir up any patriotism in me whatsoever, but still: public holiday! ryokophoenix & I are hoping for a day involving watching tall ship races on Sydney Harbour and visiting the Maritime Museum's inexplicable mythical beasts exhibit.

3) SPEAKING OF SHAMELESS SCOTTISH HUSSIES NAMED MEL, somehow I'm going to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo OMG
