adventures with MasterCard

Today I* purchased:

- a haircut! photos to follow when I am once again in the same city as my iMac

- shoes for hospital (red low heels, Hush Puppies and therefore v. comfortable)

- cropped waistcoat for steampunk purposes (brown, AMAZING, from Esprit and therefore way too expensive but what the hell, it's perfect)

- tickets to see Bell Shakespeare's all-female Taming of the Shrew next week \o/

- a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin

*Some, though not all, of these purchases were reimbursed by my mother. I LOVE HOLIDAYS.

TRUST ME IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER

I am rereading Fables right now but I think I'm going to have to dive right into rereading the second half of Lucifer as soon as I'm done.

Aah, Fables is another one I want to get into! They had a bunch of Fables in Comic Con Manila, but alas my $$$ was limited at the time. Books of Magic is another one I'm interested in. It looks like a darker Harry Potter, hmm.

I really enjoy all of Fables' story arcs, and (like Lucifer) it has a lot of kickass and interesting female characters. It's funny and complicated and has romances! spies! moral ambiguity! obscure fairy tales! violence! Everything your little heart could desire, basically.
