This is one of those times when I wish to god my camera still worked, because the weather outside is apocalyptic. The sky is pale orange, and the wind is warm and dusty and thick, and everything is tinged yellow.

It's so strange. Last night we had a storm that washed the air cool and clean, and now I wake up to this. I feel like the next stage will begin at any moment -- maybe zombies! If you don't hear from the city of Sydney again in the near future, send guns.

ETA: Thank goodness for flickr! The Red Sydney Project. Gorgeous photos there.

Greetings from the post-apocalyptic landscape of Canberra. Which is, er, wet and muddy, because dust storm + rain = MUD MUD AND THEN SOME MORE MUD.

It was a really weird sight from up on level 21 of the Tower, though.

Wherever a rain drop fell it left a yellow/brown splot, like a bit of the sky had been thrown down. I was waiting for it to start raining sulfur and brimstone.

That is fascinating! I'm saving some of those pictures. And I'll make sure to start sending loads of ammo if we don't hear from you tomorrow.
