made for walking

I wasted a lot of time on fashion blogs yesterday, and it reminded me that I have been lax when it comes to making wardrobe posts. But I want to see more from you guys! Because I am nosy! So: what are you wearing today? Photos or drawings!

Here's me:

+ black singlet top from Cotton On
+ red tutu skirt stolen from [livejournal.com profile] _leareth
+ belt pilfered from my childhood dress-up box; was probably my grandmother's
+ black military jacket from Valleygirl
+ gold cuff and red glass bracelet from stalls at Glebe Markets
+ angel wings necklace was a gift from [livejournal.com profile] ryokophoenix
+ dark red boots from Goodwill store in San Francisco
+ hat from god knows where

YOUR TURN.

I'm trying to decide if I can wear this to the Opera House tonight or if I should tone things down a bit in the direction of elegance.

We-ell, I've been to the opera in jeans and a wifebeater so I can't counsel you. But if I were going to counsel you, I would say yes, because the median age of opera-attenders is death minus 2.

This is Verdi's Requiem as opposed to actual honest-to-god opera, so hopefully the average age of the audience will be, er, closer to death minus 10?

Death minus 10 might still mean you'll be more comfortable a little closer to the society banker end of the boring<>interesting spectrum?

True. I will ruminate!

I just had a lecture on the ethics of IVF and now I'm reading about The Physiology Of Intercourse. This is make-them-paranoid-about-infertility week!
