Clearly my subconscious has decided to punish me for not doing enough (read: any) writing for the past week, because I woke up from a dream in which someone wanted to publish a manuscript of mine. In the dream I was pleased, of course, but I felt above all an amazing sense of relief: now I can pause, for a moment. Now I can escape.
I won't go into how badly I need an escape route right now, it's just the usual litany of med school + work + rehearsals + blah blah blah, just stepped up a notch and with insomnia and financial fretting sprinkled liberally on top.

Anyway, I'm off to choir camp for the weekend -- the theme for the revue is Musicals & Disney, so I'm wearing my Elphaba costume again. Given the massive amounts of material in it, it requires a huge plastic bag, meaning that my sleeping bag is currently taking up 75% of the space in my overnight bag. Getting all this onto a bus and through Central and onto the train is going to be GREAT FUN.
