technology update
The iMac has returned from the repair shop! Turns out the hard drive was buggered, so it was covered by warranty. Having learned my lesson, I have called the new drive Nacio in the hopes he will behave himself better than Mai Linh.
I still want to buy new speakers to replace the dead ones. Some time. Maybe. Probably not $_$
I have a shitload of work to do today but I'm bumming around until 11 so I can go to BRUNCH, oh brunch, how I missed brunch during conference period. The one meal a week when I can construct elaborate bacon-and-egg muffin creations and stuff myself with hash browns and tiny pastries. And then retire happily to the library with my Vulcan Science Academy mug and a pile of teabags, and study all afternoon.
