Oh my god. Oh my god! I love my choir. This was the first rehearsal for the new concert and we got handed a bunch of photocopied sheet music -- Time After Time! Hallelujah (the Shrek version)! and we're also doing a medley that includes California Dreaming and Happy Together!

But tonight we learned Kiss From a Rose (yesssssss holy shit the arrangement gives me shivers and the soprano part is so awesome) and then: Africa. Toto's Africa. In six-part harmony. The tenors got the melody and the soprano section spent an hour pretending to be percussion instruments! IT WAS AMAZING.

Anyone in Sydney or with a reasonable chance of getting to Sydney for September 18/19: you are coming to this concert. We will rock your world.

Seriously? That would be very cool! I would suggest we band together to make googly enticing eyes at Claira, but she has to save for her end-of-year trip. ALAS.

Sure! If I can fly/drive several hundred k's to watch Claira be Dorothy, I can totally go a couple of suburbs to watch you sing your heart out. :)
