the up & the down

From a choir update email:

This semester we will be performing a concert of choral arrangements of rock and jazz classics, including pieces like 'Can't Buy Me Love', 'Blackbird', 'Time After Time', Toto's 'Africa', 'Fly Me to the Moon', 'Happy Together' and a whole lot more!

HOLY SHIT YES <333

I am in the library thinking about how badly I want to be writing the heist AU, and forcing myself to read about liver disease. We have a new leader of the field when it comes to the Fahye's Least Favourite Organ award, folks.

Ughghgh so boring.

Save me.

Really? Worse than the kidney? Kidney rules supreme in my canon of unfavoured organs. Every so often it fights with the brain so
"The brain is much more interesting and fiendish and clever"
"Yes, but there's nowt we can do for the diseases of the brain, really. Why bother to learn about him"
"The kidney is a piddling little organ, able to be replaced by a machine"
"But the brain's so Haaarrrrd"
"Quiet fool! REspect the brain"

Which is to say - good luck with Mr Liver!

See, I don't mind physiology, but I despise biochem. So anything to do with the movement of ions is at least bearable, but endless diagrams of gluconeogenesis make me want to scream.

BRAINS ARE THE BEST OKAY.

I KNOW. That & 'Time After Time' are the two I'm most excited about. Because my musical tastes are excessively cheesy sometimes.
