My best/worst decision of the week was adding the lookbook.nu feed to my LJ reading list; it's fulfilling my need for interesting fashion pictures delightfully, but it's also giving me the urge to throw out half my wardrobe and go shopping for new things. I have a (long) list of basics I want to buy and then combine in fun ways.
I was going to say, 'it seems to me that what Australia needs is Topshop', but really that would mean I had desire and opportunity, while still lacking funds, so possibly the longing would be more acute.
GOD I'M PATHETIC. I was hoping to achieve some kind of materialism-free-Zen when it comes to this no-disposable-income thing, but it seems that all I can achieve is further levels of grumpiness about all the useless shit I want but can't have.
Someone slap me on the wrist and make me go apply this zeal to, say, studying.

It gets worse when you realise that the feed/main site only show you the 'most hyped' ie. most popular ones, and that you can click on any of the countries/designers/clothing categories to get ENORMOUS amounts of pictures.
I have been, um. Trying not to do this. Too often. The feed is pretty busy as it is.

... much in the same way that I was obsessed by a pair of chunky-heedled brogues and a cropped red, stamp-printed top on ASOS.

This? is 90% of the reason why I always have to remove street style blogs from my Google Reader a week after I add them.
