a Cinderella moment

I want to go to the ball!

But considering that I am currently on what [livejournal.com profile] tropes aptly dubbed the Recession Diet* (ie. absolutely no buying food or drinks outside of college) I can hardly afford to drop $115 on a med ball ticket. C'est la vie.

Anyway, my parents are coming to visit a couple of weeks from now, bringing me Mum's old sewing machine (\o/), my cold-weather pyjamas, and the promise of a night out at one of the Hilton's swanky restaurants. So I can't complain :D

*Or in my case, the holy shit those savings left over from the European Travelganza were eaten by cosplay and are now almost gone, and you don't actually qualify for the $900 government payout, so STOP SPENDING YOU CRAZY WOMAN diet.

I am sorry. :(

How come you don't get $900 from Mr Rudd? I actually don't know all the ins and outs of it.

I assume she didn't pay any tax last year. I JUST scraped in under the tax-free threshhold myself, and was very happy about it at the time. NOT SO HAPPY NOW, what with the not getting any Ruddollars :(

why is mr rudd not stimulating you with his package??? So unfair! But so lovely of them to dub the concept with such a smutty name.
