good day

I had lunch with Tink, I spent many hours hanging out nostalgically in the Hancock library, which was my second home during undergrad, and I got a remarkable amount of writing done. Observe!
The eyai doesn't speak. Her facial .app is entirely blank and Tee wonders if she's winding down.

"Jade," Marie says. "That one's Jade."

As if in response to a cue, the eyai's eyes move and her face finally gains an expression: elegant distaste with a hint of anger around the mouth; Tee thinks, God, we're good.

"My name," she says with deliberation, "is Teresa."

"Where'd that come from?" Tee demands, his curiosity reaching boiling point. There must be some kind of propogation in her code, he could check it right here, his tablet and data plugs are in his pocket and he knows her PIN, Robin and Dom could wrestle the key away and lock her, he needs to see what's happened to her code to produce a novel conception of identity, he needs to see with his own eyes the mathematical explanation for this night's chaos.

& also!
Morgana's boots, tall and with a bewildering array of buckles and laces, took three minutes to take off and probably twice that time to put on again, and the whole charade had to be repeated at every security checkpoint in the airport.

"This always happens," she sighed.

"Then why didn't you wear something easier to take off?" Merlin said, looking at his own stretched sneakers -- the laces of which he hadn't undone in months -- and Gwen's sensible flat shoes with no laces at all.

Both girls looked at him like he'd suggested making up a song about bombs and singing it within earshot of the security guards.

"Because these ones balance her belt," Gwen said slowly, as though it were obvious.

And now my brother and I are watching '20 Hours in America' and it took me the usual 0.08 seconds to fall back in love with Josh and Sam and Donna and Josh&Sam and Josh&Donna and CJ IN ALL HER GLORY.

Yeah, good day.
