*gazes upon upcoming week*

Hooboy. If I can make it to a week from now having stayed on top of my lectures, not made a fool of myself at clinical, studied cranial nerve & brainstem anatomy until I am WEEPING TEARS OF CSF, and finished my History Boys fic ... I am cashing in my credit card reward points for a $100 David Jones voucher and buying myself something pretty.

Bear witness, flist!

~

I have started slowly rewatching Grey's as my mental-health-break of choice. It's actually a lot more fun when you understand all the medicine.

I'm thinking either some shoes or a really nice shirt from Cue.

CUE HAS SOME AWESOME STUFF FOR WINTER 09 basically they've pulled out their vintage patterns from the past few decades and updated them. There are some seriously brilliant pieces in including some /fantastic/ tailored coats and jackets and dresses and skirts ... basically me walking into CUE this year = v.v.bad.

DID YOU SEE THE PART WHERE I ONLY HAVE $100. At Cue that is enough for one shirt. Or maybe a third of a dress.

I am about to go to bed! But I have...sentences? And I also have no shame, so:

"Thomas Beech."

"Irwin." Nobody outside of his family had called him Tom for years, and there was no point in confusing things. As they shook hands Irwin automatically tried to place his accent, but there weren't many clues: it was one of those smooth, forgettable American voices that couldn't be pinned down to any region. Probably deliberate. "How are you enjoying England?"

Beech's smile, already wide, gained some laughter at the edges. It looked perfectly genuine. Irwin tried not to be too obvious about taking his hand back. "Different country, same amount of paperwork. More, in fact, because I'm reporting to two places at once."

Please don't cry CSF. That would be bad.

is the medicine fairly accurate? I always wonder that. I love first-second season of Grey's best, DENNY and Olivia and fun stuff.

From my limited second-year-student experience: yes, the medicine is pretty accurate, it's just some of the procedure that's wrong (eg. people barging into operating rooms without having scrubbed in).

May your retail therapy be splendiferous. *G*

ALSO. I know I need to finish Merlin, but I also have Grey's lurking on my external. Will the Cristina/Meredith subtext provide most excellent stress relief?

Finish Merlin first so that you can write fic about Morgana for me and then YES, let us bask in the trashy lesbianic undertones together.

I am ridiculously excited about Kate Walsh being on my screen again, too.
