Okay so recently there was this slight random hiccup in the fabric of my personal spacetime and I found myself reading-and-then-watching The History Boys for the first time ever.

I have already carried out a controlled explosion (heh) of fangirlism in the safe environment of Gchat. But I am so very very embarrassingly enthused at the moment that I figured it was worth making a post in order to beg for icons. If icons exist anywhere.

I am meant to be reading WATCHMEN in preparation for seeing it tomorrow, but instead I am, er, writing HB fic. FUCK. The heist AU is sitting there making bitchfaces at me.

I'm torn between 'don't neglect the heist fic' (I have the first part bookmarked) and 'yay, HB fic from Fahye!'.

Hopefully I will be able to get the HB fic out of the way very fast, and then return to Merlining. Though the HB fic is already forcing me to do things like watch French movies and read introductory essays to Auden poems and research Kant on Wikipedia. I AM NOT EDUCATED ENOUGH FOR MY OWN STORY. This is why I like writing about doctors.

I had to research historical theory and Indian political figures for my History Boys story! And I'm horribly shaky on such things. But at least I know Oxford and Sheffield and all the other settings - if you need any help in that respect, let me know!

I like EVERYONE and I love...well, almost everyone, though in completely different ways. I think Scripps is AMAZING, I was less fond of Posner than I thought I'd be but I love him a lot anyway, and Irwin is my new favourite character from anything! in the world! (I expect this will pass soon)

The fic is supposed to be about Irwin and Dakin but apparently it's also about historical contexts and Auden and Scripps being awesome over the phone.
