Fuck you, weather. Fuck you. Victoria is a blackened mess, northern Queensland is flooded, and now there's a tropical cyclone warning out for most of the country. It's much much cooler in Sydney than it was yesterday, but I'm too busy being freaked out at the devastation elsewhere to appreciate it.
Good thoughts today go to the medics at the Albert Hospital's burn unit, who are dealing with a huge amount of terrible injuries; even worse than those from the Bali bombings, apparently. I can't donate my spare room, my time, my belongings, my skills, or any of the things that other people are donating, but this is one of those times when I am glad of the opportunity to donate money.
