and one on shore

Tomorrow I am planning to bury myself in the (very very air-conditioned) library and revise like mad, but today it is too hot to think about medicine, so I am going to lie around and watch Princess Tutu and drink lychee juice and occasionally poke at my answers to the things-I-know fic meme and try to pretend that I am in the Arctic.

I forgot to buy lemonade, so my grand plan to spend tonight drinking port & lemonade cocktails and poking my fic has been threatened. We'll see if the heat dies down to the extent that I can bear the thought of leaving my room.

Cool change coming in tomorrow which will make things drop to low twenties. Also possibly showers. Until that comes, I'm staying holed up where I have fan/air-con and iced tea.

Forecast indicates it'll make it over the range, apparently the minimum temps will even drop below 10 overnight by the middle of the week.

So far I find Rue fascinating, would pay to see the Secret Silent Love Of Mytho and Rei, and would also like to pull Ahiru aside and gently point out that maybe she could put aside her OMG THE PRINCE NEEDS HIS HEART SO HE CAN LOVE ME AGAIN just long enough to consider the fact that maybe undoing something that was done to seal in a mofo raven monster thing is not an entirely fantastic idea.

I love Rue a whole lot - the relationship between her and Ahiru is one of my favorite parts of the show. (Passing the Bechdel test with flying colors, yay!)

Um, yes, this is . . . not an invalid point. *cheerful* I also love Ahiru but sometimes she is slightly slow to pick up on these things.

I kept waiting for someone to address it properly but they never do, so I figured it must be a plot point. Though I think it would help Rue and Fakia's case if they bothered to point out to Ahiru that they have motivations for stopping her beyond HE MUST BE OUR PASSIVE LOVEBITCH FOREVER!!

Yes but that would require them to have communication skills! Which . . . neither Rue or Fakir actually possess . . . especially Fakir, BIGGEST DRAMA QUEEN IN THE SCHOOL. (I love him also - which may perhaps be a theme with Tutu characters - but oh he is ridiculous.)

Hahah I just reached the episode where the subtitlists carefully rename everyone with the correct spelling.

Looks like I am picking up an anime OT4 as a nice average of my current OT3 (Naruto) and OT5 (Ouran).

It really helped me to realize that the anteater is actually supposed to be shockingly weird. (Electricity guy, too, as you'll see.) It's very clever, what they're doing, but on first viewing (especially for me not knowing any anime conventions) it just seems kind of insane and I found it very difficult to roll with and usually had to rewatch every episode at least once before moving on to the next few.
