Okay, Merlin fandom: tell me someone has already written an excellent HP crossover, and then link me to it, so I can read it and ditch the vague bunny page of notes* currently dooming me to hell. Because what I really really really don't need, ten days of holiday and a week of home-time away from starting my second year of medical school, is a crossover idea.

(For those of you who might be new: I am incapable of writing a short, innocuous crossover. They invariably explode into messy sprawling epics. And YOU might think this is a fabulous idea, but the number of things already on my to-write list -- as well as the fact that I seem to have forgotten all the medicine I learned and so need to study last year's notes frantically -- say: NO. NO MORE EPICS.)

(1) Travel-wise: Athens is lovely! Greek food is lovely!

(2) Health-wise: I am anaemic.

(1) + (2) = LOTS OF LAMB SOUVLAKI FOR ME \o/

This is something I've been thinking about a lot, in various different contexts, because you could work in a lot of ways. Should the stigma of Merlin's magic be maintained in some way (will he be a werewolf or something similar)? Is Arthur a total spoiler Syltherin bitch! or more like James Potter and just a little over-entitled? Does this make Dumbledore the slash dragon? (A little pervy when taken with knowledge of his own slash propensities.) Is Uther the MoM? Merlin muggleborn? I think yes. I'm going to stop now cause this probably isn't helping.

I am a little surprised it hasn't happened yet.

The crossover idea I have in mind (actually suggested by someone else and presented as a free-for-adoption bunny) isn't a straightforward transplantation AU per se...it's a little more twisty. But you're right, it's a lot of fun to think about!
