Fic update: 15,211 words and SO MUCH PLOT STILL TO WRITE. And I had planned to finish it today, so that I could post it tomorrow morning, before the new episode. UGH. I wonder if anyone would notice if I just filled in all the gaps with hilarious stick-figure diagrams of Arthur stabbing things with a sword.

Things to get done today, in between tearing my hair out and writing at the speed of light: Pack everything back into the suitcase now we've established that it all fits, go to the post office and send some parcels, visit one grandfather and call the other set of grandparents in order to be a properly appreciative granddaughter (they're all giving me some $$ for travel), and go to blackboggart's exhibition opening tonight.

Likelihood of finishing fic in time: Diminishing.

I was like, I WILL COUNT THE NUMBER OF SCENES LEFT TO WRITE, AND IT WILL BE A MANAGEABLE NUMBER AND I WILL BE REASSURED.

And while some of those are half-done, some of them consist solely of one word, like 'pranks' or the extremely intimidating 'QUEST'.

Well, to be honest, it is notoriously difficult to portray actiony bits with stick-figures...I think it has something to do with the whole two dimensional thing and the fact that someone fighting looks the same as someone dancing looks the same as someone flailing in an attempt to procure rescue...
