full of vexation come I

Ugh. That anatomy exam was a LOT harder than I thought it would be. If I passed, it was by the skin of my teeth. Though everyone else seemed to be in the same boat, so if we all do appallingly then hopefully they'll scale the marks. I REFUSE to come back from Greece to stare at more corpses because I couldn't remember the name of the plantar calcaneonavicular ligament (which I couldn't).

Okay, before studying any more I'm going to relax for a couple of hours with tea and A Midsummer Night's Dream (you know, the one in which Calista Flockhart tries very hard to speak Shakespeare and Kevin Kline kicks ass (heh) as Bottom and there's ANNA FRIEL/DOMINIC WEST mmmyesplease). It is kind of ridiculous how much of this play is still stuck in my memory from when I was ELEVEN.

Woo, fairies.

Fairies, yay! *pats you carefully*

Tea and random Shakespeare sound like the perfect relaxation therapy.

Rupert Everett is a delicious Oberon, but I feel as though making fairy jokes about him is not very polite.

BUT STILL. DELICIOUS.

If it makes you feel any better, I just came off a crash course of all the anatomy in the human body in ten weeks.

You're ahead of me, then, we still haven't done the abdomen or pelvic regions. Or most neuroanatomy.

Oh, we do neuro separately, too.

But my school's approach is basically a boot-camp-like blitz of HOLY FUCK CADAVERS the second you start first year. Right now we're starting on resp and cardio physiology, which is like a gentle break, and we don't do any pathology until second year.

I am in awe of both of you. Seriously.

Oh I know...that was AWFUL. why couldn't it have been like that nice practice one that they gave us the week before - argh. Surely they'll take pity on us.
