This. Is. Awesome.

And on the topic of beautiful science: I just got back from a free IMAX 3D movie thing in which lots of pretty fish swam around and had their lives narrated by Kate Winslet and Johnny Depp. It was...incredibly relaxing.

Now I have to go and undo all of that relaxation by studying interstitial lung disease. Maybe I can use white tea and soothing choral music as a buffer.

Preeeeeeeeeeeeeetty. Show off for me though, I want to know what's going on in all the shots! A lot of them look like treatments - not only the tablets, obviously, but what looks like zapping and scarring at the start? Etc. TEACH ME. <3

I don't know some of them >_< I mean, I generally have some idea of what kind of cell etc. they're portraying, but not the mechanism. I think the zapping and scarring is probably meant to show chemotherapy destroying a tumour of some kind, and the shot after that is definitely a lung alveolus surrounded by pulmonary capillaries. other ones I can spot are...some kind of therapy directed at atherosclerosis, some kind of virus bursting out of an infected cell, the heart (HOW AWESOME IS THE TRANSPARENT HEART), delivery of genetic material via a virus vector (v. hot research area right now), more tumour-killing, and something that might be an autoimmune disease treatment (it stops bound antibody from interacting with another cell).

I fail to see how that would educate you in any way, but THERE YOU GO :D
