still writing songs in the wee wee hours

You know, I have to listen to this song periodically to check if it's still one of my favourite songs of all time. And it always is. I never get sick of it. I think this is kind of amazing.

I know I've been quiet lately -- I'm not doing so well at the moment for a variety of reasons, chief among which is the fact that I really, really need a holiday. ONLY A WEEK AND A HALF TO GO, and then I get a weekend in Melbourne seeing Wicked and a week in Canberra catching up with friends and terrorising my family by insisting on examining all their joints and taking their blood pressure. Plus ryokophoenix is arriving tomorrow and Supanova is this weekend, and today my clinical group and I had a nice Thai lunch and bonding conversation, and kicked some ass at knee examination, so things aren't hopeless.

Right now I think I'm going to go for a walk to clear my head, and then settle down for some serious rheumatoid arthritis study (which I find very dull, sadly -- the only good thing about this week's PBL case was that we got to seriously discuss LUPUS as a differential diagnosis).

Heh, I know, one of my friends was incorrectly diagnosed with it a few years ago. Incorrectly, of course, because it's never LUPUS!
