I feel like everyone else has already talked enough about the fact that while Naruto's role seems to be to make friends with all the surly characters and teach them how to belieeeeeeeve in a dreeeeeeeam, Sasuke's seems to be to BE MANIPULATED BY CRAZY EVIL PEOPLE.
They are both so DUMB AND DETERMINED oh man I love teenagers, I really do.
And it CAN'T end well.

I...really can't see this series doing something like killing off the protagonist, but I am torn as to whether the constant emotional abuse being poured onto Sasuke's head is indicative of a) a redeeming death that will seem almost like a MERCY KILLING, good god, or b) a happy-ish ending with the great sense that the boy deserves something good to happen to him FOR ONCE IN HIS LIFE.
I wouldn't be surprised if he died, no. (Though if Naruto has to kill him then I will...punch things.) But I like to think that there's still hope.
Seriously, all I ask is ONE conversation wherein they are not trying to kill each other, or distracted by a misguided higher purpose. JUST ONE.

I agree with you D: I always figured the most sure fire way Kishimoto is going to have Sasuke be redeemed is to have him die saving Naruto (b/c it wouldn't be the first time T____T).
BUT I'm going to try and be optimistic XDD and hold onto that Kishimoto has a master plan and all will be well in the end >_>
