Maybe you get involved in happy fairyland committees, because all the ones I get involved in make me want to punch people.

No! This is the thing! Generally all MY committees make me want to punch people also, and yet as soon as someone forms a committee in my general vicinity I feel a great compulsion to put my hand up. IT'S AN AFFLICTION.
