go forth

Last exam today! I am wearing one of my favourite outfits, the one that makes me look like I should be playing pre-sexification Sandy in a production of Grease, I am going to get coffee at my favourite campus cafe, and I plan to celebrate afterwards by doing Christmas shopping in the city (I am so organised this year, my friends).

Then I plan on watching the latest Dexter and playing around at the Fifteen Minute Festival, because I missed the last one. You should all come and play too! The more people we get, the greater the abundance of gifts and delight.

And then: WRITING FIC. Instead of crowding out my academic thoughts with their usual inconvenient noise, my words held off respectfully until...yesterday. Which I do appreciate, but it's a relief to have them back.

This icon is so stylish, I love it.

OFF I GO.

Good luck with your last uni exam! :->

I was totally going to tell you that I loved your icon. Like uber love.

Also, I wanted to talk to you about Doctor/Atlantis stuff, but maybe in email?

Definitely email me! I have carefully bookmarked your fic for reading after exams WHICH IS NOW, WOOHOO, so expect a comment full of shiny wonder later in the day :)

WHAT FIC ARE YOU WRITING?

Also, your day sounds exactly like how I believe every day should be like for college kids.
(a belief which my college experience is happily proving wrong)
The weather was probably lovely, too.
Was it lovely?
I bet it was lovely.

Nice weather + Coffee + Cute outfit + Shopping = Perfect Day

It WAS lovely :)

Fic...currently I am finishing up a Good Omens thing, I have my Yuletide fic to start once I've revised the canon a bit, and a couple of other things are rolling around as well.

Do you know that your War/Lucifer fic is what introduced me to Good Omens in the first place?
No lie.
Which is something, because my best friend is plotting to be Neil Gaiman's next wife and I wasn't even considering reading him until I read yours, despite hearing about him nonstop.
(I still hear about him nonstop, but I can now not be bothered so much, since I can like him for the wonderful writer he is and not just dislike him for all of the tidbits I know about him that I'd rather not)

I look forward to any and all stuff you post when you finish up :]

I strongly believe in introducing new people to Good Omens (& Gaiman in general) through any means necessary, so that's good to hear! Have you read American Gods yet?

And which fic was it, by the way?

[identity profile] mylittlepwny.livejournal.com 2007-11-14 07:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't! But I'm going to, as soon as I can find it.
My local BAM is not cooperating with my reading needs.

The fic was Circles of rust, and I still read it all the time. The only objection I had with Good Omens was that there wasn't more on the horsmen, and your Lucifer is wickedly wonderful, so it works for me on all my levels.

Well, you should like my current GO fic -- it has quite a bit about the horsemen in it, and a little Lucifer, though sadly not in conjunction.

NICE.
Anything you write with War is on my To Read List.
