Two days until the last exam of my degree, twelve until I vote in my first federal election, one month until my 21st birthday. Milestone season! But before anything exciting can happen, I have to get through this week. I am currently alternating anatomy study with episodes of Bones.

Speaking of which, I think...I have a small problem.

OTP SLEDGEHAMMER HELLO.

But this show. I love the script, I love the soundtrack, I love the unabashed scientific rigour and the way it deprecates its psychology with one hand and wields it flawlessly with the other. I love the characters SO MUCH, I want to be best friends with Zack and make out with Angela and live in their little world of magic gadgets and empiricism and Chinese takeaway and bone fragments.

And I am shipping Booth/Brennan like you wouldn't BELIEVE, omg. I didn't expect to. I was happy with their snark and their complementary skills, and then Booth threatened to kill people for her and she showed him her parents' file and they protected each other and he ran around with broken ribs and she blew off her date to watch awful television with him and it's all little, meaningless stuff that I normally wouldn't really build up into anything, but I AM BUILDING UP <333 Gah. And sometimes she looks at him like she's trying to learn how he works devoid of his cultural context, and sometimes he calls her Temperance in a tone of voice that he reserves only for that word.

You need to see the S3 Halloween episode. YOU NEED TO SEE IT YESTERDAY.

But...but I am only up to 1x16! Will it spoil anything for me? I don't want to be spoiled.

(That Christmas episode was SO FANTASTIC. With the pure alcohol and Angela's little elf-boots and Zack's enormous family and the EMOTIONALLY MANIPULATIVE MUSIC. And quarantine. I have a Thing for quarantine episodes.)

EXCEPT EXCEPT. Isn't most lab ethanol only 99.9%, because they cut it ever-so-slightly with methanol to prevent idiot lab techs from doing just that? That's what they do in Canada, and I assume they also do it in the States. (Or they just tell us they do that, and use pure ethanol? WHATEVER.)

Er, I have no idea, I tend to ignore chemistry unless absolutely necessary because I find it so boring. It's weird, I like biology and I like physics but chemistry? No. It's like how I can sing a C and an E very well but have trouble with Ds.

Heeee. I know because I was told so by several chem TAs taking required classes. . .I dislike chem (especially organic chem, which I sort of like a little) less than physics, and I seem to be good at it, but. . .no.

That icon! Aaaaaahhhh so cute. And now I have spent ages giggling at how many of your icon keywords come from musicals (PEOPLE WILL SAY WE'RE IN LOVE. HAH.) and gone in search of Bones icons of my very ownsome.

Bones/Booth is one of THE OTP!!'s (complete with capslock and exclamation marks). They are too adorable.

When that episode aired, I think I pretty much just capslocked BEST EPISODE EVER OMG OMG OMG in lieu of a coherent reaction post. (Yup, totally what I did (http://carrielh.livejournal.com/163319.html).)

I've watched this show from the pilot on, and at first I enjoyed it in spite of itself, y'know? But somewhere along the way...it just got REALLY GOOD. And Booth/Brennan = adorable OTP.
