Wow, for a series of episodes almost entirely devoid of firebrats + entourage, I thoroughly enjoyed these. This shoooow. What am I going to do when it's over? (Watch it all again and write epic future-fic, of course.)

3x06 - Hahahaha Zuko's face. ZUKO'S FACE. Mental cogs: Aang is my WHAT??? But that was an excellent backstory episode, very Prince of Egypt, and Roku FOUGHT A VOLCANO and it doesn't get much more badass than that.

3x07 - OH TOPH. I LOVE YOU TOPH. And I seem to be inexplicably shipping Toph/Sokka more and more.

3x08 - The idea of blood-bending was creepy as hell, but they executed it so well. Hama's backstory and motivations, the dead flowers, the terrifying stuff with Sokka and Aang...everything. Eek.

ETA: 3x09 - *can't stop laughing* What. the hell. I think the creators just decided, possibly while drunk, that what the series really needed was cheerleading sheep and an excuse to do Aang's hair in the styles of famous anime characters. HAH. (And also, Zuko and Mai are adorable.)

All throughout 3x07, I was like ".....dammit! Fahye was right about Sokka/Toph!"

Except not really dammit, because they were awesome.

(Also, what every series needs really is cheerleading sheep. Obviously.)

I know. I know. Also, Sokka is disturbingly hot these days! With his long hair and his occasional barechestedness! Not that this means anything to Toph (the scenes where everyone kept waving paper at her were hilarious), but I feel it is worth mentioning anyway?

Is there a time when Sokka has NOT been disturbingly hot? . . . but okay it has kind of amped up recently.

I WANT THAT TO BE HOW THEY DEFEAT THE FIRE LORD FOR REAL, FAHYE. APPA CHARGES WAVING SIX SWORDS AND THEN AANG SNEAKILY PULLS DOWN HIS PANTS!
