From [livejournal.com profile] wisteria_:

BSG FINAL SEASON PREVIEW

- BADASS. ROSLIN. OHHHHH YEAH. (BADASS ROSLIN & SIX?)
- pilotshugging <--- you know me and how I feel about all the hugging!
- Really interesting glimpses of the Five (well, the Four) and their unraveling, including Sam (oh Sam) telling Kara she's a Cylon. Poor boy. I don't think she is, but I can see why he'd latch onto the possibility.
- Cylon womens! Including D'Xena! Although a marked lack of Leoben, boo hiss.
- I am...surprisingly uninterested in Gaius' latest reincarnation as a faith healer. Hopefully Roslin and Adama will get to deliver amusing smackdowns at some stage.
- WE'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY.

I am going to be sitting there with a pen counting all the ways in which S4 manages to ape Claira's fic 'Once More Past The Sun Again', because at the moment the reactions to the whole Kara situation are looking...familiar :D

Well. I'M excited. Who's with me?

I will be back from spanish in like - 2 or 3 hours? If you're around, say hi!

I'm around! <3

GAH>

Okay. So you don't know me from a bar of soap, but I friended you based on some of your lovely BSG fic, the fact that you're an Aussie, and what is clearly your overall awesomeness.

Just watched the S4 preview and FRAK. ME. I echo all of the above and add in the Papadama/Starbuck angst - oh my - it is going to be so painful. And I agree - Kara is definately not the final Cylon. But I love that Sam might consider telling her she is.

But wah, no Leoben.

SO damn excited.

I do remember skimming your LJ and adding you back :) Are you an Aussie yourself?

There had better be SOME Leoben or I will be sorely disappointed.

*waves* :D

Yup - Sydneysider - though very recently moved to UK. I miss the eucalypts. (Among other things).

I really want more Kara/Leoben mind-frakkery... but I wonder if we'll get it.

Huh! I'm probably going to become a Sydneysider as of next year, and one of my long-term goals is to renew my British passport and live/work in Britain for a while. Whereabouts are you? I have family in Birmingham, but harbour dreams (ha. ha.) of living in London.

Really? I think I remember seeing on your blog that you are a med student? That is so cool. I'm not so good with the actual blood, though I do enjoy it on my pilots. ;) Are you heading to Syd Uni? (That's were I was).

Well, as it happens I am in possession of a very shiny Brit passport myself - my Mum's from Coventry via Lancashire, as it happens. And I was just in Birmingham (bus station, woo) the other week on my way to Coventry!

Currently staying with friends in Bristol - but, kinda-really hoping to get to London, and be employed, soon! Eek.

Not a med student JUST yet, but (fingers crossed) I will be next year, at USyd.

:O

So I guess this would be a good time to finish watching the S2 that I abandoned when a)it was in its slump and b)I found out how long it would be before S3. I watched the preview, though. >:} OOoooooh.

See, I just got tired of all that pilot!angst. I admire everyone's perserverence to get to the flail.

Yeah, S2 and S3 both have curves of quality. They start off good (the early S3 episodes are FANTASTIC), then dip down into mediocrity and/or soap opera-tude mid-season, and then fight their way back up to being good again. Overall, I enjoyed S3 better than late S2 - there were some episodes that I just shrugged at, but there were some really, really good ones as well.

O RLY? I missed that! But I really hope it was, because the more Cavil the better.

When they find Earth and there is a great Cylon-humanity reconcilitation, CAVIL AND COTTLE WILL BE DRINKING BUDDIES.

Actually, they could film a show that was just Cavil & Cottle & Lampkin (and maybe Leoben & Zarek) sitting around drinking and being cynical and I would be on that like white on rice.

Man. It took me so long to catch up, it feels so weird to be at the same point of guessing as everyone else!

That said: my guess is Roslin, and not Starbuck, is the Final Fifth.

(And Six! And Tori! <3!)

[identity profile] pirateygoodness.livejournal.com 2007-10-09 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
I. . .am at this point kind of thinking the "from the beginning"/"from the start" distinction means that Starbuck is not a cylon, but not not a cylon.

But yeah, money's on Laura.
