Don't you hate it when you're in a library working on an assignment and your stomach is growling and your blood sugar is less than optimal and there's a vending machine just downstairs and the chocolate bars within it are calling your name in their sweet, sweet voices, but you can't leave your desk to go and get one because you're paranoid that someone will steal your laptop?

you might invest a few bucks in a security cable? it will at least temporarily lock your laptop to the table for brief absences.
