I should go to more concerts
Snow Patrol last night was great! I went into it with a very short wishlist (Run and Set The Fire To The Third Bar - and I wasn't really expecting the second to be feasible) and they did both of them. Run is so much less depressing when it's being pounded out of enormous speakers and done as the final pre-encore song of the evening. And I REALLY liked the first support act, a tiny Irish guy with a guitar called Iain Archer. So much so that I bought his album.
The band's lead singer (whose name I...still don't know...I am utterly lazy about finding out anything about musical groups) was hilarious and spent a lot of time talking about how they expect kangaroos to steal their gear, or about the horror stories of Aussie wildlife his driver has been telling them. He seemed honestly gratified by the crowd's enthusiasm: Canberrans are usually predisposed towards any international artist who actually bothers to put on a decently-sized show in our city, and there was screaming. A lot of screaming :D

Finally, finally seeing The Bourne Ultimatum this afternoon \o/
