Mum: I just accidentally changed my ringtone, could you change it back for me? I want the one called 'Mozart'.
Me: *scrolling through list* Hey, look, there's one called 'Verdi'. *plays*
Mum: That one's nice!
Me: YES. IT'S ALSO BLOODY MENDELSSOHN. NO MARKS, NOKIA.
Seriously, what the hell, if they have the good taste to have an inbuilt ring tone that's a Mendelssohn violin concerto, they could at least get the composer right. But now I am sorely tempted to replace my dying Motorola Razor with a boring old Nokia that will play Mendelssohn at me, because the Motorola has stopped sending and receiving texts (BAD) and has a battery that lasts maybe two phone calls and as much as I like its very smart predictive text, I should have known better than to let my father give me his old phone when it's ten times cooler than I am and prone to diva-like fits of inefficiency.
(The moral lesson of this post is that I really shouldn't have deluded myself that taking Fabian to the uni library was actually going to make me do my perception lab report, because so far this morning I have done nothing but read a lot of SPN fic and wish I'd had the sense to bring some CDs with me, because Camille the iPod is just about as dead as the unnamed phone.)
