so I'm up to date with Doctor Who now

ohmygodohmygodohmygod

I wish I had time to type up the many ways in which 'Blink' was fantastic (STEPHEN MOFFAT, I ADORE YOU) and the many ways in which 'Utopia' was, um, no I don't think I have enough superlatives. Oh my GOD.

ALL OF SEASON TWO IS FORGIVEN. THE CRAPITUDE THAT WAS THE EVOLUTION OF THE DALEKS IS FORGIVEN. I THINK THIS IS POSSIBLY MY FAVOURITE TEEVEE SHOW NOW? HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

Oh yeah, they followed up a World War two-parter with a Moffat episode and then...

"Do you want to die? Jack?"

He ran away.

And then.

I just -

No, I can't talk about it. Too hard. The only way I could express my feelings would be through SCREECHING and jumping up and down and having one of those incredibly hyperactive conversations in which neither of you actually stop talking for more than a second but it doesn't matter because you're just. so. happy.

[livejournal.com profile] svilleficrecs has pointed out that the finale is going to be DI TYLER VS DI CARLYLE* which, well, let's just say that if the universe was trying to think up the most perfect way in which it could celebrate the end of first-semester exams with me, IT HAS SUCCEEDED.

*blissout*

OH I do have to say that the idea of a quantum lock (if you observe it, it can't change position) and the concept of Jack being a fixed point in time and space (!!!!) both make my inner physicist (yeah, she's still there! just quiet) VERY HAPPY and also completely tie in with the random bullshitting about the Uncertainty Principle that formed the backbone of Suture, so this is one pretty damn excited fanwriter here.

I am going to quote myself. That is how dorkily excited I am.

“Right. There are certain conjugate qualities – that’s a kind of pair, Rose – that you can’t know simultaneously. Like the position and the momentum of an object. And it applies to time just as easily it applies to space.” You grab an empty Coke bottle that Jack has left and set it down. “Let’s say this is the TARDIS. I can get us to any single point in time, down to the microsecond –” sweeping the bottle across the metal surface “– but that means I lose control of how fast we’re traveling. Or vice versa."

and

With every last fragment of your skill and strength you pull the knots tight and you’ve got no idea how much time is passing or what your position is in most of the familiar dimensions, but Jack’s grip is rigid and still warm and anchoring you to the immeasurable present, and you know where you are.

SEE? SEE?????

*firmly suppresses enormous amounts of Jack and Ten meta*

*goes off to study some more*

PS: [livejournal.com profile] chaos_pockets designed a shirt. Yeah, THAT shirt. *covets*

(Mir? Is there any way you can make the wings white rather than transparent? Because I like that you can get the shirt in pale blue, but I'd rather the wings...weren't. Or is that just a glitch in the filter they use to 'preview' the coloured shirts, and the wings WOULD actually be white?)

* Watch Life on Mars and Blackpool. Watch them now.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Is about how it's going with me.

Also, we looked up the writers during the Shitty Dalek Episodes, (HOW DO YOU WRITE DALEKS OUT OF CHARACTER HOWWWWWWWW) and I had been WAITING since then for 'Blink', so I was expecting a LOT, and it DELIVERED, and my god it was REALLY ACTUALLY CREEPY and I can't talk about it without RANDOMLY TALKING IN CAPS because it's THAT AWESOME.

I DON'T EVEN MIND THAT THEY BROKE CANON COS I GOT THE MASTER AND THE MASTER IS SAMMY AND HE'S SO VERY FULL OF MALICIOUS GLEE OH THE YAY DDD:
