What the hell, you lot, a girl goes to Sydney for less than two days and she comes back and instead of taking a much-needed nap she is stuck clicking 'earlier entries' for two hours. You people talk too bloody much :)

Anyway. USyd's graduate medicine information evening was duly visited, as was the new Lindt cafe on Darling Harbour (oh. my. god. *foodgasm*), and Kinokuniya - I picked up Fables volume 7*, which I read at Millicon and so never got around to buying. I walked around USyd's campus and up and down Broadway and George Street a lot. My legs were decidedly unimpressed with that, given that I've been disgustingly sedentary lately, and are now aching like the devil.

Also, turn your sail appears to be turning into another Benevolent Sibling. I am very flattered and, uh, kind of unnerved. (It's about dead pirates! But then, Benev Sib is about reality TV and random lesbians, so who am I to judge?) I will go and reply to comments once I have slept, and gotten my blood sugar back up, because I'm swaying alarmingly.

Can anyone point me at any hot icons of hot Will Turner being hot? Hmm?

OH LASTLY. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO brynnmck, WHOM I ADORE, AND IN FRONT OF WHOSE FEET I MUST GROVEL. Brynn, honey, I truly meant to have your fic finished in time, but I got really stuck narrative-wise and then the pirates invaded. I will work on it tomorrow - in the mean time, I hope you had a lovely day :) I received a copy of HCL in a parcel from villainny today, so I will write you a drabble to tide you over when I'm done watching. D'accord?

Um, hello, not only will I be thrilled with fic from you at any time, but I am several months and counting late with your birthday fic, so I am hardly in a position to cast stones! I will look forward to it whenever, and if you feel inspired to write HCL in the meantime, that will also make me quite happy, and I hope you had a good time in Sydney and thank you very much for the good wishes!

It is so weird seeing Billy and Joe actually in their canonical context, having RPed with the Milliways versions so intensively. So far: I love it.

And isn't it amazing?! I actually (FINALLY) got my copy in the mail today, and I was watching a bit earlier just to enjoy the big shiny picture quality of it all, and it was nearly impossible for me to turn it off. And I just watched it a couple of days ago with my brother! I can't wait to hear what you think. :)

It's totally different to anything I've watched before (except Velvet Goldmine, which I now want to watch again so that I can compare them thoughtfully) and, well, shit. I knew exactly where it was headed and it was still blinding.

For such a loud film, it's...very, very subtle. Do you know what I mean?

Isn't it AWESOME? I should not love it! And yet! There's so much poetry in it. It's a tragedy. I can't get over it.

And YES, I know exactly what you mean. There is much, much more going on there than you would expect from a punk mockumentary.

And, again, YES. I'm not sure CKR has ever been hotter than in that movie. (Also, you may have noticed my slight Hugh Dillon problem, which also started with HCL. I LOVE THEM SO.)
