I have a headache, I'm overtired, I'm stressed, and I'm in a PISSY MOOD.
I therefore declare this a post for venting any flavours of anger, frustration or irritation. Fannish or real life. Specific or general. Personal or universal. Carefully reasoned or heedlessly capslocked. Anonymous or not.
Here, I'll go first:
- Dear writers of Nine/Jack/Rose, an OT3 very dear to my heart, and writers of John/Elizabeth, a pairing that is growing sneakily on me: PLEASE GET OVER THE SHITTY PORN AND THE GODAWFUL ROMANCE AND HAND ME SOMETHING WITH ACTUAL EMOTIONAL SUBSTANCE. OR DECENT CHARACTERISATION. I'D SETTLE FOR THAT.
- Dear iPod: I know I was kind of inviting you to die young by naming you Camille, but that doesn't mean I am in any way less pissed off about it. You know I can't afford to replace you. GRRRRR.

I love her character because she's subtle. A female team leader could so easily have been made kickass and snarky but...she's not. She's a diplomat, she's a genuinely nice person who has to make very tough calls, she's sometimes not sure of what she's doing and she sometimes has to hold onto her authority very tightly to stop it from slipping away. She doesn't think too much of herself. I find her fascinating.
(VERY UNPOPULAR OPINION: McKay/Sheppard, canonically, does zilch for me. I don't see it. At all. But I have an unhealthy addiction to it in AU form.)

And then the bus ran late.
AND I MISSED MY FUCKING SHUTTLE TO MY INTERNSHIP BY FIVE GODDAMN MINUTES, THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH PITTSBURGH TRANSIT.
So now I'm here in the computer lab, and tomorrow I'm going to have to pull ANOTHER FUCKING TWELVE-HOUR DAY because I'll have to deal with both a night class and the internship as opposed to just the internship, and I just. ARGH. The benefits of public transit are still outweighing the problems I've had with it, but I am so sick of my schedule getting warped by theirs, ESPECIALLY when I have so much to do every week this summer.
*breathes*

(Also, while I'm at it, Heroes fandom? Sylar is not a cuddly puppy who only needs the power of twu wuv to redeem him, and yes, he's hot, but your constant fangirly squealing over that without taking into account that he's also a potentially cannibalistic serial killer is starting to get on my nerves. Knock it off.)

BUT I'M ESPECIALLY ANGRY AT THE PEOPLE WHO, WHEN I TELL THEM I AM GOING TO FAIL AND HAVE TO REPEAT THE YEAR, GO "OH, WELL, MAYBE YOU'LL BE FINE." NO, NO I WON'T. Would you stop linking to shitty fic just to have a longer issue? I friend fandom newsletters in high hopes and then gradually get to the point where I never click on any links at all unless they're to artwork or interesting meta. Seriously, quality over quantity.
