THE JELLICLE BALL = best musical number in any production of any musical ever:

Y/NY?

And there isn't even any singing!

Don't mind me, I'll be over here in the corner having a choreographygasm. Which sounds like a painfully intrusive medical procedure and is actually the result of having grown up a) dancing and b) watching the video of this particular production over and over again.

ETA: Second place goes, of course, to One Day More. Which has no dancing! Seems I'm fond of single-modality pieces, sometimes. Again, I grew up watching this video. Many, many times.

...See, I'm not going to click that link, because if I do, then I'll have to go watch the other Cats videos on YouTube and I'll do that all night instead of working.

I don't even have that much dancing experience, but MAN.

I am meant to be typing up notes on autism and child abuse. THAT plan kind of fell by the wayside.

I could probably do the dance if I got my flexibility back. One day, long ago, I could kick that high! *sighs*

I want to vote for the title song in the NT production of Oklahoma, just to be difficult. But despite the video release, I can't find it on YouTube. D: But it has both singing and dancing! And Hugh Jackman - what's not to like?

Argh. How can I sleep with the Jellicle Ball in my head?

That one does have dancing AND singing, it is true. Though of that production, I really love the barndance scene. And 'People Will Say We're In Love', because Hugh Jackman and Josefina Wossface are just adorable.

Oooo, barndance. *revises* I wish I could find it. I have the video but it is not the right region and the copy in R1 is nowhere to be found. I will have no choice but to tear the whole place apart and pull up the floorboards. Or possibly get another copy made, I suppose. *sigh*

Les Mis and Cats get lots of points, though, because I loved them already. Oklahoma was more of a 'oh sure, let's see wha-- OH MY GOD.'

I have that song on a mix tape my friend made for me in high school and I used to love to put it on and just let myself go and dance like an idiot. So much fun!!!

Oh! And the harmonies and intricacies of "one day more"! I'm having harmonigasms!
