Doing this meme put me in an enthusiastic OMG ICONS! mood, so I proceeded to add comments to all of my icons. (And do a very minor revamp.)

So, yeah. That's a whole lot of fandom opinions right there. And a lot of swearing, apparently!

(I still have a few empty icon slots. They are being saved for VAGINA SQUAD OTP, Children of Dune, and Larklight.)

Oooh, this reminds me. I have a set of The Road to El Dorado caps which I was going to icon these holidays. Would anyone be interested? I mean, it's not just me who gets embarrassingly excited by that movie, right?

ETA: And because I'm in a talking-about-icons frame of mind...I'm sure there was a meme at some stage that I totally ignored where you pick a few of my icons and I tell you why I uploaded them/the significance of the keywords/random blather of my own devising. So. Go nuts with that, if you wish.

It is! It's also a reference to my crossover WIP which is all about Gwen and Gwyneth, and growing up on the Rift, and sensing ghosts, and angels and fairies, and parallel worlds. YOU KNOW. The Jack-and-Gwen-and-Rose one.

I have three comments:

1 - Who are the 'other pilots' in the icon with pilots walking? They are tiny!

2 - He is TOO her grandfather! :O

3 - What happened in the fandom with the Arashi character? I don't know it. But I am intrigued.

1 - THE OTHER PILOTS are Kara Wade (thus my LJ interest 'all pilots called kara') and Ben Gannon from the movie Stealth. Which is not really a good movie. BUT BEN AND KARA ARE ADORABLE. It's one of the better love stories I've seen on the big screen, it's just shoved in the middle of this mediocre action movie. Weird.

2 - NOT IN ANY WAY INVOLVING, YOU KNOW, GENETICS. *self-deludes*

3 - X/1999! Anime fandom that I got very into when I was but a young'un, and met lots of cool people, and wrote quite a bit of fic. And it was fun. And because the anime's been out forever and the manga-ka just stopped writing the manga series (WHO DOES THAT? OH YEAH, CLAMP *still bitter*), the fandom kind of died. I remain ridiculously fond of the characters, though. Good memories.

About the "RtED" thing...I would be interested if you make some icons! You're not the only one who gets excited...I freaking love that movie. There's also a community for it here on LiveJournal. Good stuff...yup.
